Puppy was Neutered and..........?

I was wondering, we just got a puppy and they said that we couldnt give him a bath for a few days because they used some sort of adhesive to close him up. Does anyone know the amount of days that we should wait? I dont know the exact amount of time that has ped, papers are at home. But he is not in any visible pain or discomfort. Is it safe?? He kinda smells, lol. Has not stopped me from cuddling though. :)
