I'm in 12th grade. She's a college freshman. Would a long distance relationship be viable?

I'm in love with her. She's in love with me. We dated for 6 months while she was still here. We've tried the long distance thing (about 1000 miles) but I didn't know if I really liked it, and I got talked into breaking up with her. Over the phone. Yes. Im an a$$. I told her we'd reconsider when she comes back for fall break (I didn't want to ruin said break by breaking up with her then). So, the break came and went. And still I'm not sure that I can stretch myself like that. I'm just not happy without her. So I feel like removing myself from the situation might make it better. But I don't want to throw away something so significant because of the distance. Just doesn't make sense. Anyways. Does it make sense to stay with her? She comes back roughly every month. But only for 4-5 days at a time. I just want an objective opinion. Thanks..
