Will my son fail 7th grade?

In Ohio they cannot fail anyone under 9th grade without parental consent. I do not know if the laws are the same or similar in your state, but I suggest looking them up. If you do not want them to fail him, tell them that and fight against it. They most likely will let you move him forward.
