Did I Find My Voice?!?

I have this wierd situation... I am able to imitate a lot of different singers... But I find its sooo much easier on my throat (even when breathing from the diaphram) to sing like toni braxton/cher... Its not really even an imitation anyone can tell you im dead on! Im just wondering if just like them, my voice was made that way, or if im just really having a hard time finding my voice? When i sing with an open throat i get the cher sound... not full out cher, but you can slightly hear it... i am a tenor and it blows people away when i do my impersonations of them. What do you think?!
